RETRIBUTION
(12/02/15)
Rahn: Paragon of House Shyeel
• Force Mastery: same effect as the feat of Exulon Thexus! This could translate into anything that helps you move enemy models.
• Green/Blue: lots of Phoenix and Chimera myrmidons, which is hardly shocking, AFGs and MHSF too. Not Purple (!) and so not such a huge fan of Battle Mages as his prime version. Possibly just too many Purple detachments in Ret.
• New art by Andrea Underzo is promising, and while the design is similar the cape and good would make a model look completely different. The armour he's wearing is beefier too: Rahn1 has nothing on his hips and I think Rahn2's carapace is a little bigger too.
• Natural fit for release alongside Helios (other than Kaelyssa): he is the Paragon of Shyeel, and Helios sounds like the most Shyeel myrmidon imaginable. A feat that increased Push/Place distances would synergise well with Helios and would replicate Force Mastery quite well

Touching other people's models is the greatest power.
Arcanist Savant Emyliss
• Mechanical Mastery: Optifex Directive and Thor Steinhammer both have the same ability, so it could represent almost any warjack/battle engine buff. Strangeways/Thor but for Retribution. Neato.
• Pretty confident we'll be seeing her around within the next two cycles:
1. She has a new art asset by Andrea Underzo in their main army book style and it looks it's been cropped from a larger piece.
2. She is only a character solo, so not hugely expensive to produce
3. PP has experimented with Retribution warjack support recently in the Force Wall theme force (NQ#55) which indicates an awareness of myrmidon focus inefficiency
4. PP seems keen on helping us to field more warjacks in general.

The best steampunk mechanic demands the most useless goggles to not wear.
