Travel to the NWGC.
The NWGC is located 8 miles southeast of Central Manchester and can be reached by air, train or road. The Manchester Airport is less than 8.5 miles away and is an easy 14 minute taxi (approximate cost £15). There are many main Motorways that give access to the NWGC, and are highlighted by the M6, M56, M60 and the M67.
Transportation from the airport to the NWGC can also be via train. It will cost less, but take additional time, as you will travel from the airport to Manchester Piccadilly Station and then change-over to take the train to Stockport. Most visitors will be arriving by train, into the Stockport Train Station, which is a couple miles from the NWGC. The trains that service this station cover the entire U.K.
From London to Stockport, trains depart London Euston and arrive into Stockport in 2 hours. Trains depart all day via different routes, with no changes, 2 or 3 trains per hour.
Trains from Manchester to Stockport, arrive into Stockport in approximately 10 minutes. Trains depart all day, 4 trains per hour.
