What if Doom Reavers were 9 points?


Bane Knight Officer: The Bane Knight Officer is just that - a commander for Bane Knights. Playing up their defensive role in the Dark Host theme force is important to the model. Helping the unit maintain Wall of Steel with Re-position and giving a unique defensive option in the form of Serpent's Coil should help differentiate the unit from it's other Bane counterparts.

Greylord Adjunct: The Greylord Adjunct is a much awaited way for Khador to have wider access to Magical damage type weapons while also giving an option for anti-cloud walls. This model should be arcane support focused and help it's army as well as it's Warcaster.

Clockatrice: A utility heavy through and through. The Clockatrice is a time-themed nightmare and should act as such on the board. Being an annoyance to opponents and applying strange effects to the battlefield should be the focus of this model.

Initiates of the Wall: Paladins of the Order of the Wall in training the Initiates are green Paladin recruits. They should be durable and hard to dislodge for their points. They should NOT be powerful melee pieces like other more trained Paladins.

Legcay Models:

Doom Reaver Swordsman: Doom Reaver Swordsman were quite over costed. Instead of increasing their potential to match such a high price tag we decided to go the route of a significantly lower point cost. These should be models that are strong in combat but require support and numbers to make it there.

Cost 9.

Fenris: A fairly strong solo already we felt Fenris needed a small bump in survivatibility and utility. Increasing his CMD to 10 will help with positioning amongst a horde of Doom Reaver Swordsmen. Unyielding will help him survive once he is stuck-in in the mid to late game.

Gain Unyielding:

Unyielding - This model gains +2 ARM against melee damage rolls.

Greylord Ternion: As a support and light combat unit the Ternoin are already filling a solid role, however, we felt that the addition of a thematic but strong element was warranted. Adding Critical Dispel to this unit, while not consistent, does give them an interesting tertiary function.

Rune Axe’s gain Critical Dispel:

Critical Dispel - On a critical hit, upkeep spells and animi on the model/unit hit immediately expire.

Greylord Outriders: Similarly to the Ternoin, Outriders do what they do well. However, their point cost seemed quite high, so we've reduced them down rather significantly. The addition of Critical Dispel to their melee weapons gives them a new role to fill and creates a fairly unique spot for them in the faction.
