Hop, un petit update.
--- Citation de: PPS_Jeff ---*QUICK NOTE: The first time I uploaded this, some text was cut from Rahera's feat (specifically about her giving free ranged attacks). I caught it right after I posted this udpate. Womp womp. We have generated a new PDF with the corrected text. Sorry for any confusion! The 2.5 pdf is the updated version with the corrected text. Thanks!
Hello friends!
We have a quick update for you as we settle into the final legs of the Privateer CID. The CID will close down on Friday, and there may (or may not!) be a final update on Friday. We'll see when we get there.
For now, check out what we have. Most of these changes are small clarity changes, but it does include a change to Rahera's feat.
So here we goooooooo~!!
Powder Monkey
Catastrophic Explosion - When this model is disabled by an enemy attack, remove it from play and choose a point 2d6 + 3˝ from this model and roll deviation from that point, with direction 4 on the deviation template pointing directly toward the rear edge of your deployment zone. Center a 4˝ AOE on the point of impact. Models in the AOE suffer an unboostable POW 12 fire damage roll XICONX and the Fire continuous effect XICONX.
This change adds a "remove from play" condition. Now the Monkey doesn't launch himself like a missile and then make a tough check, for example (which would be very weird!)
Scallywag
Bond [Shae] - If this model begins the game in Shae’s battlegroup, it is bonded to him. This model is not considered to be bonded while under your opponent's control. While this model is bonded to Shae and in his battlegroup, its gains Extended Control Range. (When checking to see if this model is in Shae’s control range, double the range.)
The Bond templating included a condition that required the model to be in it's controller's control range. Doesn't work very well when the Bond is Extended Control Range! It read very bizarrely and was entirely unintentional. This text just removes that line so that the ability, y'know, works.
Captain Rahera, Terror of the Wailing Sea
Feat: Bloodletting Model in Rahera’s battlegroup currently in her control range and friendly living warrior models currently in her control range can immediately make one basic melee attack or ranged attack. These attacks must target enemy models currently in Rahera’s control range.
Blood Weaver - When this model destroys one or more enemy models with a melee attack, immediately after the attack is resolved his model can cast a spell with COST 3 or less without spending focus.
Black Spot 3 8 – – UP Yes Target enemy warrior model/unit suffers –2 DEF. When a friendly Faction model destroys one or more affected models with a basic melee or ranged attack during its Combat Action, immediately after the attack is resolved it can make one additional melee or ranged attack. Attacks gained from Black Spot cannot generate additional attacks from Black Spot.
I'm gonna touch on the second and third points real quick. Blood Weaver got a clarity change. It works the same, but reads a little bit easier. No actual change here.
Black Spot is getting a text update that clarifies how and when you can make the additional attacks. Black Spot has always suffered a little bit from being a tad confusing, so this new wording should clarify exactly how and when you can make your additional attacks. Note, this doesn't actually change how Black Spot works at all, but clarifies the spell way more for ease of use. This change will be made game-wide to all models with Black Spot when this update goes live.
Now, onto the feat. The feat remains fundamentally the same. The main change here is that your additional attacks can only target models in her control area. This will limit some top of turn 1 shenanigans, and also encourage her to play more in the mid-field-to-forward position we'd like to see her in, as opposed to just sitting back and having a gun line take a bunch of free shots. We think this is a much better change than removing the ranged attack aspect of her feat, as it retains almost all of the play-ability.

And there you go! Again, we still have a couple days left in this CID, so please give us your feedback, post battle reports, and utilize the type form! Thank you so much to everyone for your participation!
