Changements de la semaine :

Bethayne 2
Feat adjusted.

Bethayne 2's feat is a powerful tempo tool, and feedback indicated to us two very important things:

1.) The feat was causing too many rules queries regarding its interactions
2.) The feat needed to be toned due to its power level.

The feat now allows you to choose up to 8 models in Bethayne's control range to "connect via the flesh web." While these models stay in Bethayne's control range they cannot be knocked down or made stationary (thematically they are held up by the web), and these models can transfer damage to one another as if they were warlocks using the Damage Transference rule, but without spending fury.

A couple key things to note on how this feat was toned:

1.) The "No healing" clause is gone.
2.) Now that the feat works like warlock damage transference, it is an all-or-nothing transfer, and damage can spill back over onto the original target if the transfer target dies
3.) You can't transfer to a beast with full fury, keep that in mind
4.) The rules interactions should be greatly cleaned up now, as this feat will follow the basic rules of transfers used in Hordes, just without requiring a model to spend fury.

This iteration of the feat is very close to final, and at the moment we're continuing to review the interactions from it and also how many models Bethayne should be able to affect with it. Eight is not a random number, and comes from our internal testing, but we are considering a couple of options over how many models it can affect. With the feat gaining a secondary benefit, in this case the no-KD no-stationary, we are not interested in having it affect the entire army along with the damage transference. Also, making the Bethayne player plan out their "web" and choose specific models to be able to transfer between each other is an important aspect of toning this feat's power level.

Bethayne 1
Feat adjusted
Warbeast points increased

Bethayne 1's feat now affects all "friendly models" in her control range, allowing it to affect the Throne of Everblight and magic-using Minions. This will help create some more list diversity with Bethayne, further pushes her extremely toolbox nature as a warlock, and gives her some fun options with Minion models in Oracles. Additionally, due to the list feedback, we've increased her warbeast points by 2, which is likely as high as those points will go without having to tone down Belphagor.

Blight Archon
Veteran leader now affects "friendly blighted models"

Typo fix.

Kryssa
Total Obedience now indicates warlocks don't benefit from it

Typo fix.

Annyssa
Annyssa gained a Nyss claymore melee weapon

You convinced us, a model should be able to swing the weapons literally sculpted on the miniature. Additionally, after reviewing feedback for Annyssa in week 1, the addition of a weaponmaster melee attack via the Nyss Claymore is a big new dimension to her play options, and one we feel definitely earns her her cost of 7 points.

Blackfrost Shard
Disbinding changed to Unbinding

After reviewing the feedback on the BFS usage, we agree that Disbinding was not the best option for this unit. We wanted to retain the anti-magic aspect of this "spell slot", and thus have changed the spell to the far more applicable Unbinding.

Carnivean / Proteus
Chassis receives +1 DEF.
This change will affect the Scythean and Ravagore as well, but those models are not entering this CID.
We have determined that this warbeast "chassis" needed a small stat bump, and reviewed a plethora of options. Ultimately we decided that bringing the chassis' DEF up by 1 was the type of small iterative change we wanted to make. We are not interested in raising this chassis' ARM by 1, so the discussion came down to SPD or DEF. SPD would require points changes we do not wish to make, while DEF felt like it brought these heavies up just a notch without the need to adjust any point values.

Virtues
Virtue Host loses cont. corrosion effect on Claws
Virtue Host and Virtue Champion gain flat Pathfinder

The Virtues are a flexible unit, but feedback indicated to us the Host was a bit too flexible in being able to self support thanks to its claws being able to apply corrosion on the turns it couldn't assault or blight cloud. We've removed this option to give a bit more synergy with the Virtue Champion and other models that can apply corrosion for the Host once they are stuck in.

That said, we wanted to further open up the ways this unit and solo can be utilized each game. Giving them all Pathfinder allows the Virtues to have even more tactical flexibility, now capable of hiding in terrain or behind a wall as they play the "lay down the Scathers" game, until they decide to charge into combat unrestrained by the terrain.

Nephilim Protector
Animus changed to Safeguard

You're right. Thanks for the feedback.

Angelius
Tail loses *Armor Pierce, gains flat Armor Pierce and Single Shot
Angelius loses Overtake, gains Side Step

These changes now allow the player to decide exactly when they use the armor pierce ability of the Angelius' tail, including on a free strike! We do not want the Angelius APing more than once per round, so the special attack option is gone, but the tail now has Single Shot. We did want the Angelius to attack with both of its melee weapons when it charges, and this change now allows that.

The addition of Sidestep is also huge for the Angelius, as you can charge with the Bite, sidestep further in, and then hit with the Tail against a model a bit farther than your normal threat range.

There is a key thing to note about the tail having Single Shot, if you use it on your turn you cannot free strike with it on the following turn. That means there can be situations where you could charge a model with the tail, and then on the following turn it would be in your melee range of 2 but not in the Bite range of 1, thus it couldn't shoot normally but it could also walk away without a free strike.

Given that the Angelius has Sidestep now on two initials, we find this situation to be fairly rare, and one you can mitigate by getting into Bite melee rng if you really want to make free strikes.

NOTE: We will be adjusting a few rules soon to ensure the Angelius can use its Bites on Free Strikes (if a model is in RNG) even if it used the Tail the previous turn. Thank you for the immediate feedback.

Zuriel
Zuriel loses Assault, gains Dual Attack
Zuriel loses Quick Work, gains Kill Shot
Zuriel gains 1 RAT.

We wanted to further define the "ninja Nephalim's" unique role and play opportunities, and gravitated towards the interaction of Quick Work and how it ... didn't always work. With Dual Attack, Zuriel can now charge in, stab someone, Kill Shot a spray, use his normal initial spray against someone else, then stab another person. The increase in RAT to 6 was the final piece of the puzzle in making the spray (and Zuriel) the level of threat we want it to be for its PC.
