Warning Dönerman
mathieu:
While it's obviously tricky to distinguish between what a player meant to do (under pressure, in a high stakes tournament,...) and what actually did happen, I can't see how one can possibly spin "shuffling fury tokens around" into "making a honest mistake".
I mean, there are limits to what sloppiness can justify.

While the game against ATP was played a lot of folks gathered around the table and watched because it was the only semifinal still going on. Adrien real-time judged the whole thing (thanks for that one) and on one occassion he told me that I marked one box less than I should have. No-one thought I wanted to cheat (or did you?), I marked the box said I'm sorry and we continued to play the game.

No I was sure you were not cheating :) There was a lot going on at the table and your attention wasn't on your card at all at that time, from what I remembered :)77
juju:
Alfredo, I agree about sloppy play everybody has done that before and it's very difficult to avoid it sometimes and especially under pressure.
For my game against him I told him several time that he played too sloppy and he tried to correct that.
But I have to admit that there are too many mistakes and always for his advantage (fury forgot for boosting like 5 or 6 times, take back several times, sloppy move on rough terrain... ).
So ok we don't care that he wants to cheat or not, let's assume that he is just to sloppy.
To sum up : Donermann is quite nice on the table but be careful because he can be to sloppy sometimes.Watch out !

@ZergSpirit: Thanks a lot for organizing the event, it really was super awesome!
@juju: I'm still sorry for dice in our game. They were hillarious! ;-)
So more or less bottom line: I'll talk to Dönerman and try to school him. Hopefully he will learn.

I can't agree with you here... It's not whining, it's a warning for fellow french players. It's normal to try to protect your friends, exactly as you do with Dönerman in your very own post.
Maybe he was not cheating, but he played at least in a questionnable manner and AFAIC I prefer to know if I have to be careful with an opponent or if I can trust him entirely. I'm sure you'd do the same if 4-5 german players told you a french player has a sloppy game in a german tournament.
No offense intended to you or Dönerman (who I don't know) but comparing warning to whining seems a bit odd to me. As you said, if it helps him to learn to play in a cleaner way, it's a good thing for everybody.
